Jonathan and Elyse KOpp

We are the Kopp's, we have been co-pioneering YWAM Long Beach since 2016. Jonathan is from the Black Forest, Germany and Elyse is from West Virginia, USA.

We met staffing the first DTS in Long Beach, CA, where we became best friends and found a new love serving the city and ministry. Elyse and Jonathan have a heart for serving the lost and homeless. We also have a passion for struggling Christians, who have questions and desire build a deep foundation in their faith.

Jonathan and Elyse took over base leadership in June 2024 after Jonny and Nina left to start a church in Japan.

Manu Zumba

My name is Manu Zumba, and I am honored to serve as a missionary with YWAM Long Beach. I come from Brazil, I am deeply passionate about answering the call of Jesus to fulfill the Great Commission.

After completing my DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM in 2023, I felt a profound calling to dedicate my youth as a full-time missionary. My heart burns for the lost and forgotten by society, those who feel they have no worth. I believe everyone deserves a chance to know God's love, and I want to help make that happen..

My ministry focus centers on reaching unreached groups, particularly those overlooked by society— the homeless, prostitutes, and drug addicts. Through the love and power of Jesus, we aim to bring heaven to them and facilitate their reconciliation with God.

Jonny, Nina, Jackson, and Vivien Pocoroba

Hello!  We are Jonny, Nina, Jackson, and Vivien Pocoroba.  We have been missionaries with YWAM for 14 years and have served in China, Brazil, Japan, and most recently our home, Long Beach, CA.  

In September 2024 we are moving our family to Tokyo, Japan to plant a church. Japan is considered the second largest unreached people group in the world.

Our vision for our church plant in Tokyo is all about evangelism and creating community. Our heart is to make connections, introduce people to Jesus and create a place for them to fellowship and grow in the Lord.

Nathan Warford

I am a California native and have been on staff with YWAM Long Beach since 2022.  I’ve been a YWAMer since 2007 and have been part of missions throughout Asia and Europe. My heart is to build bridges between people through education, outreach, and discipleship.  I also have a passion to reach the least reached people with the Gospel of Christ.  I hope to encourage Christians in Long Beach to find their calling and think missionary locally and abroad.
